Order of Saint Augustine in the Asia Pacific
(OSAAP)
OSAAP (Order of Saint Augustine in the Asia Pacific) is an association of the seven Augustinian circumscriptions in the regions of Asia and Oceania. These seven are the Province of Cebu (based in the Philippines) and Australia, the Vicariates of India, Japan, Orient (based in the Philippines) and West Papua (Indonesia) and the Delegation of Korea. The association is an expression of Augustinians in this part of the world to work together on common projects.
Projects include the Asia Pacific Augustinian Novitiate based in Talisay, Cebu, the regional Renewal Programme and gatherings of specific interest groups – formators, vocations directors and younger Augustinians in ministry. Another matter of consideration are areas of future common mission.
The leaders of the Asia Pacific circumscriptions meet regularly to discuss these matters of common interest. More importantly are the various opportunities for the members of the circumscriptions to meet each other as the opportunity arises.
