Vietnam

For the past 10 years the Augustinians in Australia have been preparing young men from Vietnam who will return to their country to establish our Augustinian way of life in the rich 500 year old Catholic culture there. There are presently three Vietnamese Augustinians ordained to the priesthood, one to the diaconate and another four are in initial training.

In August 2019 our vision was realized when three of our men rented two houses in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City and have already begun taking in candidates to the Order to begin their initial training there.
